List of men you shouldn't marry

The Australian-born Catholic priest, now based in New Jersey, has condensed his wisdom from 40-odd years of counselling engaged couples into one manual of advice-Whom Not to Marry.

He has conducted premarital counselling and presided over more than 200 weddings.

He also lectures high school girls on the pitfalls of marrying the wrong guy.

And he likes to catch women young, because once they have fallen in love they will be less likely to absorb his sensible and often unromantic advice.

He believes there are no soulmates, only lovers to whom we commit.

Connor's central thesis is that you can be deeply in love with someone to whom you can't be successfully married.

He advises a year-long engagement to examine fully the values and character of your future spouse.

And Connor's 'whom not to marry' list is as follows:

1. Mummy's boys

2. Men who are bad with money

3. Men with no friends

4. Men who put you down in public

5. Men who are rude to waitering staff

6. Men unable to laugh at themselves

7. Men unwilling to share authority

8. Men who never make demands countering yours

What Happens When You Give Thousands of Stickers to Thousands of Kids

Ever wonder what would happen if you gave your kids thousands of stickers and complete freedom?

Then you have to see these cool pictures taken in the Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane. Artist Yayoi Kusama recreated Australian domestic environment, complete with locally sourced furniture and ornamentation, all of which has been painted completely white to serve as a giant white canvas. The museum’s smallest visitors were then given thousands of colored dot stickers and invited to transform the space.

As with many of Kusama’s works, the current installation entitled The Obliteration Room is “disarmingly simple in its elemental composition; however, it brilliantly exploits the framework of its presentation”.

Dogs were man's best friend 33,000 years ago

A pair of dog skulls uncovered in digs in Siberia and Belgium, each 33,000 years old, show dogs were domesticated long before any other animal, including sheep, cows or goats.
The skulls had shorter snouts and wider jaws than wild animals, such as wolves, which use their long snouts to hunt. It suggests dogs were used for companionship and protection.
Scientists used carbon dating to determine the age of the skulls, then examined the bone structures.
"Both the Belgian find and the Siberian find are domesticated species based on morphological characteristics," said Greg Hodgins, researcher at the University of Arizona's Accelerator Mass Spectrometry Lab.
"Essentially, wolves have long thin snouts and their teeth are not crowded, and domestication results in this shortening of the snout and widening of the jaws and crowding of the teeth.

Agneepath old wine in a new bottle

After twelve years, Vijay Dinanath Chauhan of 'Agneepath' is all set to re-enter the silver screen but this time it's not megastar Amitabh Bachchan instead handsome hunk Hrithik Roshan will depict his story with a modern touch.
The 1990 film, directed by Mukul Anand, was produced by Karan Johar's father Yash. Though the film didn't work at the box-office, it fetched the best actor national award for Amitabh.

Twelve years later, Johar came up with the idea of remaking the film by setting it in the modern day scenario, with debutant Karan Malhotra taking the mammoth task of directing it.

Set in a small Indian village of Mandawa, Vijay Dinanath Chauhan (Hrithik) is taught by his principled father about the path of fire - Agneepath. However, Vijay is left completely broken after evil drug lord Kancha Cheena (Sanjay Dutt) hangs his father to death.

Following the death of his father, Vijay leaves for Mumbai with his pregnant mother, pledging to return to his native village later and bring his father's glory back.

In Mumbai, city gang lord Rauf Lala (Rishi Kapoor), takes the 12-year-old Vijay under his wings. During his journey, Vijay makes and breaks many relationships.

Vijay only finds support is his best friend Kaali, (Priyanka Chopra), who stands by him through thick and thin. Fifteen years later, his hatred for Kancha takes him back to Mandawa where his life takes a full circle. Henceforth, begins Vijay's quest to seek revenge from his father's murderer.

The role of evil Kancha Cheena was originally played by Danny Denzongpa. But this time, Sanjay has been roped in to essay the villain's part.

Karan admits remaking "Agneepath" was an emotional decision as he wanted it to be a commercial hit. The film also features veteran actors Zarina Wahab and Om Puri. The film is said to be releasing in over 2,000 screens and has already created a lot of buzz.

Sanjay's wicked smile, puffed-up eyes and dreadful first look has attracted appreciation from all quarters for the actor. When Hrithik signed "Agneepath", he was quite clear of not emulating Big B's portrayal of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan. He wanted to give the character his own twist.

Rishi Kapoor insisted on having a look test for his role as Rauf Lala. The 58-year-old is one of the villains in the remake of 1990's "Agneepath" and wears kohl (kajal) in his eyes, a karakul cap and kurta-pyjama to fit into the Muslim character.

Rishi admits he insisted on a look test because he wanted see how he looks in a negative character.

Of her role, Priyanka says her character is the soul of the film. She brings happiness and naughtiness in the film.

Another highlight of "Agneepath" is the item song "Chikni chameli", which features Katrina Kaif. The actress' fast, Maharashtrian dance moves have impressed one and all.

According to composer Atul Gogavale, Katrina spent eight days in rehearsal before starting to shoot the song. It took nine days to finish the shoot, and her energy levels never saw a dip.

The special screening of the film has found appreciation from film celebrities, but whether "Agneepath" will be able to break box-office records, remains to be seen. The film will release on Thursday.

Not a Joke! Rajnikanth website really runs without internet

It may sound like another Rajinikanth joke, but a new website dedicated to the superstar runs 'without an internet connection'!

Visitors to www.allaboutrajni.com are greeted with a warning that "He is no ordinary man, this is no ordinary website. It runs on Rajini Power" and are advised to switch off their internet connection to enter the website.

Only when the web is disconnected, one is allowed to explore the site.

Netizens can trace the story of the legend from the beginning, read inside scoops from his films and get a glimpse of behind-the-scenes action, while browsing through famous Rajini jokes about impossible feats only he can achieve.

"The unbelievable spectacle of running a website without the internet is a tribute to Rajinikant's larger than life image," claimed Webchutney's creative director Gurbaksh Singh, who developed the site for Desimartini.com.

With a heady mix of foot-tapping music, vibrant splash of colours, quirky quotes and illustrations, and icons in true Rajni style and lingo, the unique website reflects Rajini's signature style.

Singh told PTI that the website is based on a complex algorithm running in the back-end that keeps an eye on the propagation of data packets between two terminals.

Magic kicks in soon as the internet speed is down to zero, which is the basic premise on which the site and the concept has been constructed.

The humour element on the website is accentuated by the error message in typical Rajini style that appears if a visitor attempts to re-connect the internet.

"Aiyyo! That was unexpected. To keep browsing, switch off your internet," reads the message.

"The website has received a phenomenal response and has gone viral with several thousand hits and counting, along with innumerable shares and mentions across the web, especially on popular social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter," Singh said.

"After a few iterations and testing, we cracked the code required to build the world's first website that runs without the internet - a website that runs offline - which is as awesome and unbelievable as miracles and stunts associated or performed by Rajni himself," he said.

Winter Skincare Tips

Winter is the worst season for people who have dry skin - flaking, itchiness and tautness is usual and neglect of daily care can easily lead to habitual dehydration, with sensitive skins and red patches.

Therefore, going that extra step to pamper the skin with moisturisers and emollients is imperative. Renowned beauty and skincare expert Shahnaz Husain suggests the following tips to care for your skin during the winter months.

For normal to dry skin
Use a cleanser containing aloe vera, cactus and lemon. Aloe vera has the power to restore moisture and has potent healing properties too. It is an anti-oxidant that speeds up the process of cell-renewal. An aloe cleanser helps in softening and removing dead cells, accelerates cell regeneration and delays ageing.

Keep the skin moisturised, always
During winter, the outer layer of skin becomes very dry therefore it is important to keep the skin moisturised. Even those who have oily skin must use light moisturising lotions after cleansing to keep the skin soft.

Use a sunscreen
People like to enjoy the sun during winter but little do they know that exposure to the sun can hasten ageing. Therefore, one must use a sunscreen 15 minutes before going out in order to allow the skin to absorb it. If you stay out in the sun for more than 30 minutes, reapply the sunscreen.

Skin nourishment
Nourish the skin every night if you have normal to dry skin. Apply a skin life anti-ageing cream and massage it on the skin with a little water. Use outward and slightly upward strokes. Ensure that the cream is rich in Vitamins A and E.

For very dry skin
- If your skin is very dry and dehydrated, avoid using soap.
- Apply a lemon-turmeric cream before washing or bathing. It protects the skin from further moisture depletion. It also softens the skin. The healing property of turmeric soothes and cures dehydrated skin.
- After a bath, apply a body lotion while the skin is still damp. It helps to seal the moisture.

Heal those cracked heels
Soak your feet in warm water at night for 15 minutes. Scrub with a pumice stone. Apply apricot cream and tie gauze around the heels and feet like a bandage. Keep this on the whole night. Do this every night for a week.

Hair care during winter
Heat pure coconut oil and apply on scalp and hair ends. Wrap a hot towel and let it stay for sometime. Next morning, wash your hair with a mild herbal shampoo.

For soft hands
- Add some sugar to lemon juice and use the mixture to scrub the hands. It has a softening effect.
- Massage cream on the hands soon after bathing and washing clothes.

Tips for Speeding Up Mozilla Firefox

Improve Firefox Performance by Clearing the Downloads List
Recently I noticed that whenever I downloaded a file in Firefox, the program turned into molasses--especially just after the download finished. The browser would literally freeze up for seconds at a time for about a minute after. On a whim, I opened up the Downloads list (accessible by pressing Ctrl-J). It was pretty lengthy; I hadn't cleared it in as long as I could remember. Admittedly, I just never bothered, as I didn't think it necessary. Also on a whim, I clicked Clear List, which wiped the slate clean, so to speak. (This doesn't delete your downloads, but merely Firefox's record of them.)You know what? The next time I downloaded a file, Firefox hummed along like its regular speedy self. No hangs, no delays. I'm not sure why this made the difference, but it definitely did. If you're encountering a similar issue, I recommend trying the same procedure.

Remove Old Versions of the Java Console From Firefox
Java, of course, is the programming language/platform that's used by various Web sites and apps--you know, the thing that's constantly nagging you to install updates.

Every time you do so, Firefox inherits a new version of the Java Console (a debugging tool that's useless to the vast majority of users). Unfortunately, the old ones don't get deleted. Does that impact Firefox performance? I don't know for sure, but it can't help--and I do know I don't want half a dozen Java Consoles cluttering things up!If you look at your Firefox Add-ons list (by selecting Tools, Add-ons), you may indeed see several instances of Java Console. However, you'll also notice that the uninstall button for each one is greyed out. How can you remove the old Consoles?

Simple: Exit Firefox, then run it as an administrator. To do so, right-click your Firefox desktop icon, then choose Run as administrator. Now, when you go back to the Add-ons list, you'll have the option of uninstalling Java Consoles.

You can probably get rid of them all, though I recommend keeping the one with the highest version number, just in case the Java Runtime Environment needs it for some reason.

Make Firefox Immediately Switch to a Newly Opened Tab
Normally, when you click a link that opens a new tab (or hold down the Ctrl key while clicking a link, which forces a new tab to open), Firefox doesn't actually switch to that tab. It keeps you where you were. That doesn't make a ton of sense. After all, why would you open a new tab if you didn't want to view it right away?Fortunately, there's an easy way to change Firefox's behavior when it comes to new tabs: Click the Tools menu, then Options, and then click Tabs. Enable the last option in the list: When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately. (Pretty straightforward, huh?) Click OK and you're done.
