This allows the user to share an internet connection over Wi-Fi

Maryfi is a free utility developed for Windows 7 that creates a virtual router on the computer it is installed on. This allows the user to share an internet connection over Wi-Fi, or in other terms, it turns a computer into a Wi-Fi hotspot. Once successfully configured, Maryfi can wirelessly share the computer’s access to the internet with devices such as game consoles, laptops, phones, etc.

This application works better with devices such as laptop and netbooks that already have built-in Wi-Fi capability out of the box. In case of desktop computers, setting up a Wi-Fi hotspot may require an investment in a PCI Wi-Fi transceiver. This utility can also be very useful in places like hotel rooms where, in most cases, internet access is available only via Ethernet. Using this utility, you can share this wired connection with other wireless-only devices like a phone. CNET downloads also hosts this program, which you can download by following this link.
