HDB launches six BTO projects

The Housing & Development Board on Tuesday launched six build-to-order (BTO) projects, offering 3,346 new flats, in its first tranche of BTO flats planned for 2013.

The six projects are respectively located in Choa Chu Kang, Hougang, Yishun, Ang Mo Kio, Kallang Whampoa and Tampines.

Under the recently announced parenthood priority scheme, HDB said it will set aside a fixed quota of 30 per cent and 50 per cent of flat supply under BTO and sales of balance flats (SBF) exercises respectively to first-timer married couples with children.

"Elderly flat owners in Kallang Whampoa will also enjoy doubled balloting chances under the ageing-in-place priority scheme when they apply for a studio apartment in Whampoa Dew (one of the six launched projects)," HDB added.
