Lone Star College will be open for classes as normal a day after three people were wounded in a shooting on the campus in North Harris County.
The college was closed after the shooting erupted about 12:20 p.m. at the campus at 2700 W.W. Thorne, but it will resume normal operations this morning, according to the college's website.
An argument between two men sparked the gunfire, authorities say. One of the men was wounded. The gunman apparently accidently shot himself in the hip. A college maintenance worker, described as a innocent bystander, was also wounded in the shooting.
Carlton Berry, 22,.has been accused of pulling the trigger. He is charged with aggravated assault, though he remains hospitalized for the apparently self-inflicted accidental gunshot wound.
The conditions of the other wounded men were not released. A female student was treated at the scene for a medical event possibly related to the gunfire.
Investigators were trying to piece together what caused Berry and the man to argue and why the confrontation escalated into gunfire.
