Kelly and the rest of the E! Fashion Police panel are always mocking the Glee star on the TV style show for her over-the-top red carpet poses.
So when the 28-year-old presenter spotted Lea at the glitzy awards bash, she was terrified the actress would be out for revenge.
"I thought Lea Michele was about to shout at me,” Kelly admitted to British magazine Look.
"On E!, we rinse Lea for how she poses on the red carpet. To be honest, it's because we're jealous. She came up to me and I was worried we were going to get into an argument, but she said, 'Oh my God, I love the show, I want to come on – when can I?' I gasped. That made me love her even more."
Kelly – who has dropped an impressive five dress sizes since she appeared on Dancing With The Stars in 2009 – has just launched the Kelly Osbourne Hollywood Diet on UK TV show Lorraine, to share the secrets of her weight loss.
But the style icon confessed even she is not perfect all the time, admitting she piled on a few pounds and found the dress she had picked for the Golden Globes didn't fit.
"I chose this Zac Posen dress in early December, then I couldn't get into it after indulging at Christmas! So I hit the gym and started hula-hooping – and right before the awards it had to be taken in."
